Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (Amarillo EDC) is proud to announce its partnership with Lightcast, a global leader in labor market analytics. Amarillo EDC recently acquired the online research tool, Developer, to provide real-time workforce data to its clients and community partners. The partnership was announced at the latest Build Your Talent Toolbox presentation hosted by Amarillo EDC. Guest speaker, Carrie Cole, gave an update on national, regional, and local trends and how their data can help the community plan for an evolving workforce.
Lightcast provides labor market data to more than 650 companies including many economic development organizations. Clients use this data for talent attraction, business attraction and retention, workforce availability, strategic planning, and region benchmarking.
The Developer software is a research tool that provides comprehensive labor market data to assist organizations with business development and workforce needs. Among many helpful resources, the data can identify up- and reskilling opportunities with reports such as the career pathways report. This report shows skills gaps from one occupation to the other, the importance of those skills based on online job postings, and the salary difference.
“Developer is going to be an incredible resource for AEDC, our clients, and the community as a whole,” says Caylar Harper, Director of Marketing & Workforce Initiatives. “We are eager to share the information with incoming and local businesses to address workforce concerns in our region.”
