~ LED FastStart event will connect job-seekers with recruiters from 10 companies in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Monroe ~
Baton Rouge, LA — Registration is now open for an LED FastStart virtual career fair that will connect job seekers in and outside the state with digital and tech positions such as IT Support Specialist, Cyber Security Engineer, Application Developer, Angular / React / Java Developer, Software or Systems Engineers and IT Operations.
The online event will take place Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and participants can register in advance or throughout the event.
Ten companies from across the state have committed to participate in the career fair to date:

- DXC, New Orleans
- General Informatics, Baton Rouge
- IBM, Baton Rouge and Monroe
- LHC Group, Lafayette
- Performance Software, New Orleans
- Prokeep, New Orleans
- Rural Sourcing, Baton Rouge
- SchoolMint, Lafayette
- StrikerVR, New Orleans
Using the Brazen events platform, job seekers will have the opportunity to explore the employers’ virtual booths, research the companies and see the opportunities for which they are best suited. Registrants also can participate in one-on-one text-based chats with company representatives.
Since the digital LED FastStart Recruiting platform was launched in October 2020, over 1,200 job seekers have participated in 16 virtual career fairs for multiple businesses or individual companies. The fairs have covered a range of industries, from digital/tech to manufacturing. Similar events showcasing other job sectors will be scheduled throughout the year.
