Washington, D.C. — U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding $30 million to support 35 projects in 15 states under the 2017 Assistance to Coal Communities (ACC 2017) initiative. The funding will assist locally-driven efforts to communities and regions severely impacted by the declining use of coal through activities and programs that support economic diversification, job creation, capital investment, workforce development and re-employment opportunities.
“From his first days in office, President Trump ended the Federal government’s assault on the coal industry and the communities who rely on it,” said Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. “The previous administration fought this war through unilateral executive actions and regulatory edicts, and the casualties were American workers and families.”

Tulsa is home to 16,000 call center jobs, and that number keeps growing

Tulsa, OK -- The former Eastland Mall is a hub of activity again. Once a retail outlet, the rebranded Eastgate Metroplex is home to a variety of businesses, including a growing trend in the Tulsa area.

The complex is headquarters for a handful of call centers, which employ about 2,000 people.

They are part of about two dozen call centers in the Tulsa area that employ some 16,000 people, according to data from the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce and World reporting. In 2014, Site Selection Group, an economic development consultancy firm, ranked the city, at 3.4 percent, seventh among similar-sized cities for call-center workers as a percentage of the workforce.

McKinney, TX -- J&B Prime Marketing Solutions announces the grand opening of a branch of the company in Durant, Oklahoma coming June 6, 2016. In the last few months, J&B Prime Marketing Solutions tripled their footprint in Texas, landing them on the radar of their multi-million dollar clients. This growth ultimately opened the door for the expansion, taking place in mere weeks.

In March, J&B Prime Marketing Solutions had a hold on the marketing and promotions for their clients in McKinney, Plano, Sherman and Denison. Because of their consistent productivity and outstanding client relations, the company expanded into Allen, Lucas and Princeton. Director of Operations, Jordan Roberts suggests the company owes their success to the lifeline of their organization -- their associates. "Without our associates representing our brand and our client's brand with the utmost respect and dedication, we would not be where we are today."
