Port of South Louisiana’s Safety Risk Agency Manager and President of InfraGard Louisiana Lester Millet, III, recently received the 2016 Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association (LEPA) Dedication Award for past efforts affiliated with both InfraGard Louisiana and the Port of South Louisiana’s Facility Security Officers Workgroup.
The LEPA Dedication Award recognizes individuals and organizations that have contributed to the enhancement of emergency response and management within the State of Louisiana.
As president of Louisiana InfraGard, Millet has presided over an InfraGard chapter that is nationally recognized amongst over 80 chapters as being one of the top chapters in the country. Millet, as lead architect, has also been instrumental in the development and outreach of two of InfraGard Louisiana’s major projects -Louisiana School Safety Initiative Multi-hazard Toolkit and The InfraGard/Louisiana State Police Next Generation Reentry Protocol- both of which are currently receiving national attention.
As Chairman of the Port of South Louisiana’s Facility Security Officers Workgroup for the past eight years, Millet has presided over one of the largest (831 Members) and best organized FSO Workgroups in the country.
