Idaho Falls, ID — Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho (REDI) and Idaho National Laboratory (INL) received an Excellence in Economic Development Bronze Award today from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
REDI and INL were recognized with a Bronze Award for the region’s promotional video, “Living Life Now. Working for Tomorrow. Eastern Idaho.” The video was developed by REDI as part of its larger regional talent attraction campaign. REDI and INL partnered with other local technology industries on the video to attract employees and businesses to Eastern Idaho. The award was given in the 25,000 to 200,000 population category.
“On behalf of the IEDC board of directors and Excellence in Economic Development Awards Advisory Committee, congratulations to Idaho National Laboratory. Not only did they work to provide a necessary service to their community; but also, their participation in the awards program sheds light on their stellar projects which other communities can now use a benchmark,” said Barry Matherly, CEcD, FM, IEDC 2016 Board Chair, President & CEO of the Greater Richmond Partnership.

The video is a novel approach of Eastern Idaho partnering together to solve the challenge.
