Twin Falls, ID — The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and SelectUSA will host the 4th annual White House Forum on Economic Development on July 30, 2015. Jan Rogers, executive director of Southern Idaho Economic Development (SIEDO) is the only Idahoan invited to attend this prestigious gathering.
51 economic development officers from across the U.S. will be attending and will directly engage senior White House and Administration officials.
Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President and Assistant to the president for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs will provide the welcome remarks.
“I’m honored once again to participate in this very important and exclusive opportunity to learn, discuss and share economic development issues with national and international leaders,” said Jan Rogers of SIEDO. “Meeting directly with program heads and senior policy and decision makers is invaluable to discussing new ideas and opportunities to further economic development in the region and state,” she said.
During the Forum, economic development practitioners will meet with administration officials to discuss and provide input based on a wide range of topics. The forum focuses on key topics that have the greatest potential to positively impact job creation in the near and long term. Issues discussed in the forum will include a wide range of topics including infrastructure development, international trade and attraction, and manufacturing.
