Covington project will support hundreds of new jobs and strengthen regional power infrastructure capabilities
COVINGTON, La. (January 2026) — Ampirical, a leading provider of power system engineering and project delivery services, has broken ground on a $43 million expansion of its headquarters campus in Covington, Louisiana, reinforcing the company’s rapid growth and long-term commitment to St. Tammany Parish and the Greater New Orleans region.
The new facility, located on the same property as Ampirical’s existing headquarters, will add approximately 90,832 square feet of office space across five stories, providing capacity for continued workforce expansion and supporting the company’s growing portfolio of electrical infrastructure projects nationwide.
Ampirical relocated to its current headquarters in 2021 with roughly 200 employees. Since then, the company has more than tripled in size, now employing over 600 professionals nationwide, driven by rising demand for resilient power systems and the company’s reputation for delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
“This expansion marks an exciting milestone for Ampirical,” said Matthew Saacks, CEO of Ampirical. “Our growth reflects the strength of our team and the trust our customers place in us. This new headquarters building allows us to continue investing in our people, our technology, and our community as we help shape the future of power delivery.”
Designed to reflect Ampirical’s culture and operational needs, the headquarters expansion will feature collaborative workspaces and modern amenities intended to support engineering, project management, and corporate operations. The project is expected to create nearly 200 new high-wage jobs, with average salaries exceeding $90,000, further strengthening the region’s technical workforce.
State and regional leaders highlighted the project’s broader economic impact and its alignment with Louisiana’s infrastructure and workforce development priorities.
“Ampirical’s decision to expand its headquarters reflects the confidence companies have in Louisiana as a place where major projects move forward and supporting businesses grow alongside them,” said Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois. “This expansion will create new opportunities for skilled workers while reinforcing the critical infrastructure that powers Louisiana’s economy.”
“This headquarters expansion underscores why St. Tammany Parish continues to be a leading business location,” said Michael Hecht, president and CEO of GNO, Inc. “It offers the talent, infrastructure, and business environment that fast-growing companies seek.”
Local officials echoed the project’s significance for long-term regional growth.
“This $43 million investment will create nearly 200 high-paying jobs and builds upon Ampirical’s long-standing commitment to our community,” said St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper. “It strengthens our collective efforts to build a stronger economic future for our residents.”
Russell Richardson, president and CEO of the St. Tammany Economic Development Corporation, emphasized the project’s role in attracting high-value industries to the parish.
“Ampirical’s expansion reflects the type of high-growth investment St. Tammany is working to attract,” Richardson said. “With average salaries exceeding $90,000, this project strengthens our regional workforce and long-term economic competitiveness.”
Ampirical is partnering with Red River Bank, McMath Construction, fl+WB Architects, and Southern Interior Solutions (SiS) to deliver the project. The company also recognized SkyKnight Capital for its strategic partnership and ongoing support, along with Louisiana Economic Development and the St. Tammany Economic Development Corporation for their role in fostering a business-friendly environment.
