Enterprise software company plans $1 million investment, retains 70 positions and expands Louisiana’s technology workforce
NEW ORLEANS, La. (October 20, 2026) — Copado, Inc. will invest $1 million to establish its global headquarters in downtown New Orleans, expanding its Louisiana operations less than two years after opening its first office in the state.
The enterprise software company expects to create 59 direct jobs with an average annual salary of $103,808, approximately 54% above the average Orleans Parish wage, while retaining 70 existing positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will generate another 77 indirect jobs, bringing the total to 136 potential new job opportunities across the Southeast Region.
Copado becomes the third company in less than a month to announce a headquarters investment in New Orleans, following Sicona Battery Technologies and Applied Atomics.
Downtown New Orleans Headquarters to Support Global Growth
Copado’s global headquarters will occupy the entire sixth floor of 400 Poydras Street, bringing together employees across key business functions to support its worldwide operations.
The location will serve as a hub for the company’s continued development of AgentOps for business applications. Copado’s software helps organizations build, test and deploy enterprise applications more efficiently while maintaining security, quality and governance. Its DevOps and AgentOps solutions coordinate complex software development workflows with human oversight.
LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said the headquarters investment places Louisiana at the center of Copado’s corporate strategy, bringing leadership, decision-making and high-value technology jobs to the state.
For Copado CEO Ted Elliott, the move reflects the company’s experience recruiting talent and building relationships in Louisiana.
“New Orleans is where we’re building Copado’s future,” Elliott said.
He emphasized that establishing the headquarters represents a long-term commitment to the city and to creating opportunities for Louisiana residents to build careers in emerging technologies.
Expansion Builds on Louisiana Innovation Office
The headquarters announcement follows Copado’s 2024 decision to establish an innovation office in New Orleans. Since then, the company has expanded its local presence and strengthened connections with Louisiana universities, businesses and the broader technology community.
Copado’s most recent summer internship class included graduates of Tulane University, Louisiana State University, Xavier University of Louisiana and Dillard University.
The company plans to expand university partnerships and internship programs statewide. Those efforts will provide students with hands-on software development experience and give educators opportunities to engage with emerging technologies.
New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno said Copado’s decision demonstrates the city’s ability to attract and grow innovative businesses. She highlighted continued investment in infrastructure and workforce development as priorities for supporting business expansion and creating opportunities for residents.
Headquarters Investment Strengthens New Orleans Technology Sector
Copado’s relocation adds to a series of headquarters announcements in New Orleans and reinforces the region’s position as a destination for technology investment.
Michael Hecht, president and CEO of Greater New Orleans, Inc., credited Copado’s growth in the city to access to qualified talent, recruitment opportunities and Louisiana’s software development incentives.
The company’s decision to locate its global headquarters in New Orleans builds on that experience and adds corporate leadership functions to its existing operations.
Louisiana Incentives Support Expansion and Hiring
To secure the project, Louisiana offered Copado an incentives package that includes workforce recruitment support through LED FastStart and a $375,000 performance-based grant.
The company is also expected to participate in Louisiana’s Quality Jobs and Digital Interactive Media and Software Development programs.
The combination of recruitment assistance, university partnerships and planned hiring will support Copado’s expansion as the company scales its global software business.
