New manufacturing facility in Little Chute will create 275 jobs
Madison, WI — Faith Technologies Inc., a leading electrical planning, engineering, design and installation expert, is expanding its Excellerate division with the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Little Chute—a $20 million project expected to create 275 jobs over the next three years.
“This investment by Faith Technologies solidifies the company’s continued commitment to Wisconsin and is a testament to the strength of our manufacturing industry,” said Mark R. Hogan, secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the state’s lead economic development organization. “I congratulate Faith Technologies on its expansion and look forward to its continued success in Little Chute as well as its other Wisconsin locations.”
“This new facility is the first truly smart manufacturing building in Wisconsin. With it, we are excited to showcase the things we are doing to industrialize the construction industry, as well as the energy components like our on-site microgrid,” said Scott Romenesko, president of Excellerate Manufacturing. “The support from our local communities, organizations like WEDC, and the hard-working, skilled tradespeople we have in Wisconsin made it possible to build this state-of-the-art facility right in our backyard.”
Construction on the 225,000-square-foot facility is now underway and expected to be completed later this year. A natural energy microgrid, also built by Faith Technologies and Excellerate Manufacturing, will allow the building to be operated off the traditional energy grid.
Founded in 1972, Faith Technologies is an employee-owned, full-service electrical, engineering and technology systems contractor headquartered in Menasha with 20 locations in nine states.
Excellerate, a subsidiary of Faith Technologies, is an electrically focused manufacturer of made-to-order assemblies through custom-engineered construction solutions that drive cost savings, schedule compression and safety excellence. Excellerate serves the energy, manufacturing, supply chain and construction landscape.
With locations throughout the country, Excellerate also operates manufacturing hubs in Oshkosh, Neenah and Appleton. The Oshkosh and Neenah manufacturing spaces will continue to focus on manufacturing and assembly work for electrical construction, while the new Little Chute facility will be the hub for product innovation and research and development in the areas of energy, microgrids, modular-builds, e-houses and specialty engineering.
WEDC is supporting the project by authorizing up to $800,000 in state income tax credits over the next three years. The actual amount of tax credits Faith Technologies will receive is contingent upon the number of jobs created during that period.
In addition to the 275 jobs expected to be created by the company, an economic modeling study estimates the project could indirectly generate 136 additional jobs in the region. Those 411 total new jobs are expected to generate over $3 million in state income tax revenue over a five-year period.
