International aerospace company will create 50 new jobs, invest nearly $28 million in Morristown
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Howmet Aerospace Inc. officials announced the company is expanding its Morristown, Tennessee, location.
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Howmet Aerospace has locations in 13 different countries around the globe and 15 states across the U.S. With the Morristown expansion, the company will create 50 new jobs and invest an additional $27.9 million in Tennessee.
The announcement comes in conjunction with the Farnborough International Airshow, which kicked off today in the United Kingdom.
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries, creating engine and turbine components, fastening systems, forged wheels and more. The company is also a long-time Tennessee brand, employing more than 900 people in Hamblen County.
Since 2020, TNECD has supported more than 50 economic development projects in East Tennessee, resulting in nearly 10,000 job commitments and more than $3.1 billion in capital investments.
