Israeli ag-biotech company becomes first to establish Indiana operations through the Iron Nation–Indiana initiative
INDIANAPOLIS (September 2, 2026) — Indiana’s growing agricultural technology sector is gaining a new international investment as Israeli ag-biotech company IBI Ag establishes its North American headquarters in the state.
Governor Mike Braun announced that the company, which develops next-generation biological crop-protection technologies, has selected Indiana as the hub for its U.S. operations. The headquarters will support IBI Ag’s field trials, product development, regulatory activities, strategic partnerships, market development and preparations for commercialization in the United States.
The investment also marks the first Indiana expansion generated through the Iron Nation–Indiana initiative, a $60 million investment and business-development program designed to connect high-growth Israeli technology companies with Indiana’s industries, research institutions and business ecosystem.
“IBI Ag’s decision to establish its North American headquarters in Indiana is a testament to our state’s dominance in the agricultural sector and our intentional and persistent pursuit of innovation,” said Gov. Mike Braun. “This is an important first result of our partnership with Iron Nation as we work to connect Indiana’s world-class industries and research institutions with some of Israel’s most promising technology companies.”
Indiana Headquarters to Support U.S. Commercialization
IBI Ag’s Indiana headquarters will initially support the company’s ongoing U.S. product-development programs and is expected to expand as its technologies move through regulatory approval and toward commercial launch.
The company plans to develop local capabilities in regulatory affairs, field development, business development and commercial operations while working closely with growers, research institutions, agricultural organizations and strategic partners throughout Indiana.
IBI Ag already collaborates with Indiana-based Corteva Agriscience, providing an established connection to the state’s agricultural industry as the company expands its U.S. presence.

IBI Ag Advances Biological Crop Protection Technology
IBI Ag is developing a new generation of biological insecticides using a technology platform that combines validated biological targets, protein engineering and artificial intelligence-driven de novo protein design.
The company’s approach is designed to create highly targeted biological crop-protection products with new modes of action. The technology could provide growers with more sustainable alternatives to traditional chemical insecticides while helping address agricultural productivity and pest-management challenges.
IBI Ag’s expansion further strengthens Indiana’s position at the intersection of agriculture, biotechnology and advanced research — sectors that have become increasingly important as agricultural companies invest in biological products, precision technologies and more sustainable production systems.
Iron Nation–Indiana Partnership Targets Global Technology Investment
The headquarters announcement comes during the Indiana–Israel BioHeartland Summit, hosted in partnership with Iron Nation and the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest.
The summit brings Israeli technology companies and innovation leaders together with representatives from Indiana’s agriculture, healthcare, life sciences, research and investment communities to explore commercialization, research partnerships and economic development opportunities.

The Iron Nation–Indiana initiative is designed to help promising Israeli companies establish operations in the United States while leveraging Indiana’s industrial base, research capabilities, workforce and access to major U.S. markets.
