The Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDC) has announced the expansion of Lionshead Paris, LLC, the PEDC’s first attraction project since American SpiralWeld Pipe.
Lionshead Specialty Tire & Wheel LLC (Lionshead), a family-owned business, is experiencing significant growth in the manufacturing sector. Their headquarters is located in Goshen, Indiana with rapidly growing production facilities in Indiana, Texas, North Carolina, Idaho, Georgia and Minnesota. They specialize in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of tire and wheel assemblies and component parts for the recreation vehicle, marine, livestock, cargo, and utility trailer industries.
“We are excited for the opportunity to open up this new plant in Paris, Texas,” stated Joe Tinervia, National Property Development Manager, Lionshead. “We anticipate that this expansion will provide a tremendous economic impact for us and the community for years to come. We appreciate the efforts of the PEDC in helping us work with the City and County, and we are grateful for the recruitment efforts they have put in to help make this project possible. We are happy to have Paris as our new home in Texas.”
Lionshead serves the towable trailer and recreational vehicle industry throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Louisiana. The organization plans to build a 120,000 square-foot plant in Paris, Texas. This green-field development will include investments in property, plant and equipment over $20,000,000 and bring over 40 new jobs to the area over a 5-year period. They will locate on a 20-acre site in the Paris Economic Development Corporation’s NW Industrial Park.
“This project has been in the works for several years, and it is exciting to see it reach this stage,” said PEDC Executive Director Maureen Hammond. “This development will have a great effect on the local economy with 40 new jobs, bringing an annual payroll of over $1.8 million, and a total projected economic impact of $83.5 million over the next 7 years. We are excited to see the addition of another modern industrial facility in our business park and the recruitment of a company that will pay wages exceeding the county average.”
The PEDC supported the attraction of Lionshead with a land grant, cash for jobs and tax abatements via the City and County. Upon breaking ground, the company expects the project will take approximately 18-months to complete.
“We believe the environment in which our team members work is an important part of our corporate culture,” said Joe Tinervia, National Property Development Manager, Lionshead. The new facility will entail thoughtful use of windows to bring natural light into every work area, cleanliness throughout, terrazzo floors, personal lockers, an inviting employee lunchroom, expansive bathrooms, focus on safety, and Lionshead provided complementary uniforms and personal protective equipment. Lionshead also offers every team member competitive pay, benefits (medical, dental, vision), matching 401k, performance incentives that subsidizes food and Lionshead SWAG and many other unique cultural approaches that are rarely seen in a manufacturing environment”.
“We are excited to welcome Lionshead to our community,” said PEDC Chairman Josh Bray. “They are a critical upstream supplier to many of our regional trailer manufacturers. This further strengthens the region as a dominant player in the trailer manufacturing space.”
