AI infrastructure and power management company plans to create more than 600 jobs at 650,000-square-foot North American manufacturing operation
MCKINNEY, Texas (September 8, 2026) — LITEON Technology Corp. has marked the start of construction and facility buildout on its new $919 million North American advanced manufacturing campus in McKinney, Texas, a major investment expected to create at least 600 high-quality permanent jobs.
Executives from LITEON joined representatives from the City of McKinney and the McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) for a ceremonial groundbreaking celebrating the next phase of one of the largest private investments in the city’s history.
Announced earlier in 2026, the project represents a significant expansion of LITEON’s North American manufacturing and technology operations. The company has acquired two existing buildings totaling more than 650,000 square feet at the Core5 Logistics Center and is beginning an extensive buildout and installation of specialized manufacturing equipment.
The completed campus will support advanced manufacturing, engineering and research operations, strengthening McKinney’s growing position in the technology and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The project is expected to create at least 600 new permanent jobs, providing additional employment opportunities in manufacturing, engineering, technology and related fields.
“A few months ago we announced that LITEON had chosen McKinney,” said Michael Kowski, President and CEO of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation. “Today we are standing on the site watching it begin. That speed is not an accident. It reflects a company ready to build and a community ready to build alongside them. We are proud to welcome the LITEON team and grateful for the partnership that brought us to this day.”
Taiwanese Blessing Ceremony Highlights Community Partnership
The groundbreaking program also included a traditional Taiwanese blessing ceremony, reflecting LITEON’s heritage and expressing hopes for a safe construction process and successful future for the McKinney operation.
LITEON representatives and McKinney leaders participated together in the ceremony, symbolizing the growing partnership between the company and community.
“What stands out about this project is the spirit of partnership behind it,” said Brian Loughmiller, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation. “From the first conversation to this morning’s ceremony, LITEON has approached McKinney with respect and a genuine commitment to the community. That is the foundation of a lasting relationship, and it is exactly the kind of company McKinney is proud to build with.”
The investment adds another large-scale advanced manufacturing operation to the Dallas-Fort Worth region while strengthening McKinney’s ability to attract technology-driven industries.
“LITEON’s investment reflects strong confidence in McKinney and in the future we are building,” said McKinney Mayor Bill Cox. “This project will create meaningful career opportunities, strengthen our economy, and further establish McKinney as a destination for advanced manufacturing and technology. We are proud to welcome LITEON and excited to see this investment take shape.”
