Waco, TX — Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. announces plans to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing operation in Waco, Texas. Polyglass will invest $19 million in the 145,000-square-foot facility, located at 1701 Exchange, to produce modified bitumen roofing membrane. Employment will reach 45 full-time associates within the first three years of operation.
“Polyglass is excited to open its fifth American manufacturing facility in Waco,” said Natalino Zanchetta, CEO of Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. “We chose Waco as our next location because of the outstanding support from the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, the centralized location and the pool of talented people in the surrounding communities.”
The Polyglass roofing facility in Waco will produce a water-proof membrane system that is used for commercial and industrial roofing systems. It increases roof life expectancy, is environmentally friendly, energy efficient, UV-resistant and skid-resistant.
“Being centrally located, having adequate infrastructure and a strong workforce helps us to attract excellent companies like Polyglass,” said Judge Scott Felton, McLennan County Judge. “The county looks forward to working with them and helping them expand to a larger company in the future.”
“Our excitement about this project in Waco is through the roof,” said Dale Fisseler, Waco City Manager.
