Wood products manufacturer will establish its first South Carolina operation in Honea Path, with production expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (October 2, 2026) — Adeptus USA has selected Anderson County, South Carolina, for a new wood products manufacturing operation, investing $215.56 million and creating 217 jobs.
The facility, located at 1205 Hamby Road in Honea Path, will be the company’s first South Carolina operation. Production is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
The project will bring a closed facility back into use while expanding manufacturing employment and supporting South Carolina’s forestry and wood products industries.
Honea Path Facility to Produce Value-Added Pine Products
Adeptus will manufacture value-added and processed pine wood products for building products and millwork applications.
Product offerings will include painted and primed moulding, boards, shiplap and a variety of panel products and grades. The operation will serve customers requiring processed wood materials for construction and finishing applications.
“The tremendous commitment shown by the state of South Carolina, Anderson County and the local forestry community made it clear that this is the right place for Adeptus to invest and grow,” said Billy White, CEO of Adeptus USA. “We are proud to become part of South Carolina’s well-established wood products industry and look forward to building lasting partnerships throughout the region.”
White said the investment reflects a long-term commitment to employees, customers and communities throughout Anderson County and the surrounding area.

Adeptus recognized state and county partners for their support, along with Atlantic Union Bank; Venturus, a division of Heritage Bank; USDA Rural Development; and Capital Resource Advisors, whose participation helped advance the project.
“South Carolina prospers when businesses like Adeptus bring economic development opportunities to our region,” said Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III. “With the addition of 217 jobs in Anderson County, Adeptus is supporting the state’s growing wood products industry and workforce.”
Investment Expands Opportunities for South Carolina’s Forestry Sector
The new operation will add manufacturing capacity to South Carolina’s wood products industry and expand opportunities connected to the state’s forest resources.
“I’m pleased to welcome Adeptus to South Carolina’s agribusiness community,” said South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers. “Expanding and diversifying opportunities for our forestry sector is a major priority for South Carolina, and Adeptus’ investment is great news.”
State Forester Scott Phillips also welcomed the company, highlighting South Carolina’s sustainable, high-quality forest resources.
For Anderson County, the project combines new employment opportunities with the reuse of an existing industrial property.
“Projects like this demonstrate the tremendous potential across Anderson County,” said Anderson County Councilman Greg Elgin. “A more than $200 million investment and more than 200 new jobs represent a tremendous opportunity for our residents. Bringing a closed facility back to life and creating quality jobs makes this project an especially meaningful investment in our community.”
