HARRISONBURG, VA — Aerospace startup AeroNimble is scaling its operations in Harrisonburg with a $2.5 million investment that will create 51 new jobs, further strengthening the Shenandoah Valley’s position in advanced manufacturing and aviation services.
The company specializes in PT6 aircraft engine overhaul and blade component manufacturing—critical services that support both civilian and military aviation. By expanding its operational capacity and bringing more component production in-house, AeroNimble aims to reduce maintenance turnaround times and improve service efficiency for aircraft operators.
A key component of the expansion is a strategic workforce pipeline developed in partnership with Blue Ridge Community College. The collaboration is designed to fast-track graduates into the workforce, with entry-level positions starting at $62,000 and available to students immediately upon completion of their programs. The initiative is expected to create a direct pathway for young talent in the region to enter high-skill, high-wage aerospace careers without leaving the Shenandoah Valley.
Economic development leaders point to the project as a model for aligning workforce development with industry needs. By pairing technical training with immediate employment opportunities, the effort helps retain local talent while supporting the growth of emerging industries.
