The apparel retailer will create more than 200 full-time jobs at a nearly 473,000-square-foot facility in Salisbury, North Carolina.
American Eagle Outfitters Inc. will invest $41 million to establish a distribution center in Rowan County, North Carolina, creating more than 200 full-time jobs.
The company will occupy a 472,890-square-foot facility at the Innovation Logistics Center in Salisbury. Operations are expected to begin in early 2027.
“This distribution center is a key investment in AEO’s future growth,” said Keith Glivic, senior vice president of global distribution and fulfillment for AEO Inc. “We look forward to creating jobs and building strong ties with Rowan County.”
The facility will expand American Eagle Outfitters’ distribution and fulfillment network while strengthening Rowan County’s growing logistics sector. Located within the Innovation Logistics Center, the operation will benefit from the region’s transportation access, available workforce and proximity to major markets.

The project represents a significant addition to the Salisbury-area economy and is expected to generate new career opportunities for residents while supporting continued industrial development.
“We are excited to welcome AEO to Salisbury,” Mayor Tamara Sheffield said. “The company will bring more than 200 jobs to the area, helping to grow the local economy and expand opportunities for residents.”
Sheffield said investing in the community’s long-term economic future remains a priority for the Salisbury City Council.
American Eagle Outfitters operates a global retail portfolio that includes the American Eagle and Aerie brands. The Rowan County facility will support the company’s future growth and evolving distribution requirements.
