New Nuevo León Facility Expands Regional Manufacturing Capacity and Strengthens Customer Support Across Latin America
JESSUP, Md. (July 15, 2026) — Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), a global leader in cooling solutions and thermal management technologies, has officially opened its first manufacturing facility in Latin America, marking a major milestone in the company’s long-term international growth strategy.
Located in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León, near Monterrey, Mexico, the new manufacturing and distribution center enhances BAC’s ability to serve customers throughout Latin America while expanding the company’s global production network.
The facility officially opened during a May 27 ceremony attended by government officials, business leaders, customers, employees and executives from BAC and parent company Amsted Industries.

Strategic Location Supports Regional Growth
The Monterrey-area facility was strategically selected for its access to major transportation routes, established industrial infrastructure and proximity to one of Mexico’s strongest manufacturing hubs.
The site will function as both a manufacturing operation and regional distribution center, enabling BAC to respond more efficiently to customer demand throughout Latin America while supporting future business growth.
“The Monterrey plant represents an important milestone for BAC as our first manufacturing facility in Latin America and a key center for driving regional growth,” said José Fernandes, Managing Director for Latin America at BAC. “This facility strengthens our ability to better serve our Latin American customers with enhanced manufacturing, logistics and distribution capabilities.”
Meeting Growing Demand Across the Americas
BAC officials said the investment comes as demand continues to accelerate across multiple sectors, including industrial manufacturing, HVAC, commercial refrigeration, data centers and critical infrastructure.
According to Luke Rubino, BAC’s Global Vice President and Head of the Americas, the region is experiencing sustained growth driven by:

The Monterrey facility is the latest investment in BAC’s worldwide manufacturing expansion initiative.
Since 2019, the company has significantly expanded its global production capabilities through investments in new facilities and operational improvements designed to better serve customers worldwide.
