Industrial distributor strengthens regional service capabilities and customer support network
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Mar. 26, 2026) — Motion Industries, Inc., a leading distributor of maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) replacement parts and provider of industrial technology solutions, has announced the opening of two new sales branches in Mexico. The new facilities, located in Cuautlancingo, Puebla, and Piedras Negras, Coahuila, officially opened in late 2025 and further expand Motion’s service footprint across North America.
Both branches are designed to deliver fast product fulfillment, comprehensive field services and specialized technical support. The facilities will also host training programs for employees and customers to support workforce development and operational efficiency.
The Cuautlancingo branch, located at Calle Rio Papaloapan 19, represents Motion’s southernmost location in Mexico and is positioned to improve service responsiveness throughout southeast Mexico. The facility’s proximity to major highways and its placement within a rapidly growing industrial park enhance logistics efficiency and customer access.
In northeast Mexico, Motion’s Piedras Negras branch is located at Carretera 57 #1125, between Federico Mendez and Aurelio Carrillo in the Colonia Compositores Mexicanos area. This location will serve customers across northern Coahuila, including Acuña, Sabinas and Monclova, enabling faster delivery times and expanded service coverage in the region.
“We’re excited to address an important service gap in these markets with a strong local presence,” said Eric Gonzalez, Motion’s Senior Vice President of Mexico and Business Development. “Our talented teams, combined with Motion’s broad product portfolio, service capabilities and customer proximity, position us well for continued growth in Mexico and across our global markets.”
James Howe, President of Motion, emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion. “Strengthening our footprint in Mexico reinforces our long-term commitment to this vital industrial market,” he said. “We remain focused on deepening our investments to support regional economic growth while delivering the high level of service our customers expect.”
The Piedras Negras branch hosted an open house on November 28, 2025, while the Cuautlancingo facility held a customer appreciation event on January 23, 2026. As operations scale, both locations are expected to generate new employment opportunities.
The two new branches join Motion’s existing network of 14 locations in Mexico, further enhancing the company’s ability to support industrial customers across central and northern regions.
