Creating More Than 500 New Jobs
SPENCER, N.C. — Rowan County’s healthcare and workforce sectors continue to gain momentum as Complete Well-Care Source, L.L.C. announced plans to invest $14.5 million to develop a new 30,000-square-foot treatment facility and corporate headquarters in the Town of Spencer.
The new facility, located at 1230 Long Ferry Road, is expected to begin operations in 2027 and will create 501 new jobs over the next five years, including 125 positions within the first two years of operation. The expansion will significantly enhance access to outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment services while strengthening the region’s largest employment sector.
“My life’s work is dedicated to delivering much-needed services to underserved communities across North Carolina,” said Myra V. Wilson, owner of Complete Well-Care Source. “This investment represents a major step forward in our mission, and it would not have been possible without the strong support of the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Rowan County Board of Commissioners, and the Rowan Economic Development Commission.”
Spencer Mayor Jonathan Williams emphasized the project’s dual impact on both employment and healthcare access. “This investment not only brings hundreds of skilled jobs to our community, but it also expands local access to critically needed outpatient mental health and substance abuse services,” Williams said.
“This new facility will provide essential services that improve and save lives while representing a significant long-term investment in Rowan County,” said Greg Edds, chairman of the Rowan County Board of Commissioners.
Rod Crider, president of the Rowan Economic Development Commission, noted the project’s broader economic impact. “Healthcare services represent Rowan County’s largest employment sector, and the growth of Complete Well-Care Source strengthens our economy by creating high-demand, high-quality jobs for residents throughout the region.”
