- Project adds 88,000 square feet of high-density data center capacity and creates 10 new high-tech jobs
COLUMBIA, S.C. — November 13, 2025 — DartPoints, a leading regional provider of colocation, cloud, and interconnection services, announced a $125 million expansion of its Greenville County data center, a major investment that will create 10 new high-tech jobs and significantly strengthen regional capacity for artificial intelligence (AI), research, and data-intensive industries.
The expansion increases total data center capacity from 2.5 megawatts to 12.5 megawatts, adding 88,000 square feet of newly designed high-density space engineered to support advanced workloads, including AI, machine learning, edge computing, and enterprise applications.
Construction is currently underway, with operations expected to begin in July 2027.
Supporting the Southeast’s Growing Demand for AI and High-Performance Computing
DartPoints’ Greenville facility will play a critical role in meeting the rapidly increasing demand for high-performance computing (HPC) across the Southeast. The new development will serve regional enterprises, universities, healthcare systems, and research organizations that rely on low-latency, high-capacity infrastructure to power next-generation technologies.
DartPoints designs its facilities using a mix of air and liquid cooling to support diverse performance requirements while maintaining energy-efficient operations. The company’s approach helps communities attract new technology investment while ensuring reliable, scalable digital infrastructure.
“This project builds on DartPoints’ collaboration with state and local partners to expand access to critical IT power in high-growth regions,” said Scott Willis, DartPoints President and CEO. “Greenville has been a part of our platform for nearly two decades. This investment reflects our confidence in the region’s talent and business environment, and it builds capacity for the AI, research, and analytics workloads shaping how organizations operate today.”
