New outpatient campus will anchor health care services within the Cardinals’ future mixed-use development near Scottsdale Road and Loop 101
PHOENIX, Ariz. (May 27, 2026) — Dignity Health has announced plans to open a state-of-the-art medical campus in North Phoenix at the future site of the Arizona Cardinals’ new performance center and business headquarters.
The project will be located at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Loop 101, where the Cardinals are developing a broader mixed-use destination anchored by the team’s new headquarters and training facility. Dignity Health is the first major partner announced for the development.
The multi-phase medical campus is expected to include up to 300,000 square feet across two buildings on eight acres. Phase one will include an initial 120,000- to 150,000-square-foot outpatient medical campus, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and an anticipated opening in 2028.
Upon full completion, the project is expected to create 700 medical and support jobs and become Dignity Health’s largest outpatient campus.

Arizona Cardinals Development Adds Major Health Care Partner
The Arizona Cardinals announced last September that the organization had purchased a 217-acre property at Scottsdale Road and Loop 101. The team’s planned 30-acre performance center and business operations headquarters will anchor the larger mixed-use development.
Dignity Health’s medical campus is the first major addition to the project, expanding the site’s role beyond professional sports into health care, wellness, employment and community services.
“Our long-standing relationship with Dignity Health is a profound win for the entire community,” said Michael Bidwill, owner of the Arizona Cardinals. “We are both deeply rooted in Arizona and our shared commitment to health, well-being, and community impact has transformed this project from a simple idea into something truly special. This isn’t just about constructing buildings—it’s about building a healthier future for our community.”
North Phoenix Investment Supports Growth in Health Care and Mixed-Use Development
The Dignity Health project reflects continued investment in North Phoenix as a destination for health care, employment, sports performance, business operations and mixed-use development.
By pairing a major outpatient medical campus with the Arizona Cardinals’ future headquarters and training facility, the development is expected to create a distinctive destination focused on wellness, innovation and community impact.
The campus will also expand access to high-quality care in a rapidly growing part of the Valley, serving patients where they live, work and spend their time.
