750,000-square-foot facility will support Oregon’s growing semiconductor supply chain
HILLSBORO, Ore. — June 17, 2026 — DSV – Global Transport and Logistics has broken ground on its new Oregon Regional Warehouse Hub in Hillsboro, marking a major expansion of the company’s logistics footprint in the state and strengthening support for Oregon’s growing semiconductor industry.
The new 750,000-square-foot facility, larger than 13 football fields, will serve as a purpose-built contract logistics hub for DSV’s semiconductor customers throughout Oregon. The project represents a strategic investment in the region’s advanced manufacturing supply chain and reinforces Hillsboro’s role as a key center for semiconductor-related growth.
“The manufacturers in the Portland area are operating at the leading edge of the industry, and they deserve a logistics partner built to match that pace,” said Josh Summers, CEO of DSV Contract Logistics North America. “Hillsboro is the right place to deepen our roots in Oregon and forge the connections that will shape the future of supply chain management for years to come.”
DSV Consolidates Oregon Operations Into One Purpose-Built Hub
The Oregon Regional Warehouse Hub comes as DSV celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. The new facility will consolidate DSV’s three existing Oregon locations in Sherwood and Tualatin, which currently total approximately 385,000 square feet, into one modern logistics hub nearly twice the combined size.
All employees from the existing Oregon locations will transition to the new Hillsboro facility.
The new hub will give DSV the capacity, infrastructure and operational flexibility to grow alongside its semiconductor customers for years to come.
“The Hillsboro hub gives the Oregon team more space, more resources, and more capability to grow with our customers,” said Daniel Bergman, CCO of DSV Contract Logistics North America. “Rather than operating across three separate locations across the state, the team will work together under one roof, enabling stronger collaboration, more efficient operations, resulting in a better experience for our employees, our growing customers, and the semiconductor manufacturers we serve.”
Supporting Hillsboro’s Semiconductor Industry
The new regional warehouse hub will provide critical logistics support for manufacturers across the Portland metro area and the broader Oregon semiconductor ecosystem.
“This is an important announcement and investment in Hillsboro and Oregon, especially when firms have many choices across the country where they can invest,” said Dan Dias, City of Hillsboro Economic & Community Development Director. “This expansion in Hillsboro provides critical support to our extensive semiconductor industry, and fulfills the community’s visions and plans for the Hillsboro Technology Park. We are thankful to all the partners who enabled this to be a success.”
Advanced Logistics Capabilities for Semiconductor Customers
The Hillsboro facility will feature advanced security, customized inventory management solutions, warehousing, fulfillment and distribution services designed to support semiconductor customers with precision, visibility and reliability.
Planned facility features include:
- 750,000 square feet of contract logistics space
- 40-foot clear height
- 53 dock doors
- Dedicated storage zones for specialty semiconductor materials
- 24-hour video surveillance
- Perimeter fencing
- AI-driven inventory management
- Real-time customer visibility from receipt to delivery
DSV’s AI-driven inventory management system will give customers real-time visibility into materials throughout the supply chain, from receipt to final delivery.
Project Expected to Be Completed in 2027
The groundbreaking event included key executives from DSV, representatives from ARCO Design/Build, DSV customers and partners from the City of Hillsboro.
ARCO Design/Build is expected to complete the facility in approximately July 2027. Once complete, the building will serve as DSV’s Regional Warehouse Hub for Oregon.
