Construction technology company expects to begin operations in 2026 at the Las Cruces Innovation & Industrial Park, creating local employment opportunities.
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (October 8, 2026) — EquipmentShare, a national construction technology and equipment rental provider, plans to expand its Southern New Mexico operations with a new Site Solutions managed services facility in Las Cruces.
Located at 9030 Advancement Ave. in the Las Cruces Innovation & Industrial Park, the planned operation will support contractors throughout Southern New Mexico and the Borderplex region. EquipmentShare expects to begin operations in 2026.
The Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA), NAI 1st Valley and the City of Las Cruces announced the project following more than two years of collaboration with the company.
The facility is expected to create local jobs, although a project-specific hiring total has not been announced. According to the announcement, a typical EquipmentShare branch is associated with 25 to 50 jobs.
Managed Jobsite Services and Connected Construction Technology
EquipmentShare’s Las Cruces operation is expected to provide managed jobsite services, including mobile tool trailers, on-site fueling, equipment management and technology solutions designed to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
The facility will use the company’s proprietary T3® platform, which connects customers to real-time fleet management, equipment tracking, jobsite monitoring and productivity tools through EquipmentShare’s connected construction equipment network.
Amy Susán, senior director of public affairs at EquipmentShare, said Las Cruces’ location, economic momentum and business environment align with the company’s growth strategy. She described the facility as the beginning of a long-term commitment to Southern New Mexico.
“We’re excited to open our doors, support contractors with the equipment and site solutions they need, and help build the future of construction right here in Las Cruces,” Susán said.
Regional Collaboration Supports Site Selection
MVEDA worked with EquipmentShare and NAI throughout the recruitment and site selection process. Its support included identifying potential locations, coordinating local and state incentive opportunities, introducing property owners and development partners, and connecting the company with workforce resources for future hiring.
Brian Garcia, MVEDA’s vice president of business development, said the planned operation will strengthen the region’s industrial economy and demonstrates Las Cruces’ appeal as a location for business growth.
NAI Principal Jacob Slavec said the project required careful evaluation of multiple properties to meet EquipmentShare’s real estate and operational needs. Preston Williams, an associate broker at NAI, credited local infrastructure and complementary facilities with helping Las Cruces stand out among regional options.
EquipmentShare will also receive incentives from the NMBorderplex Closing Fund, made possible through the New Mexico Economic Development Fund in partnership with the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, to support its Las Cruces investment.
Strengthening Las Cruces’ Industrial Economy
Las Cruces Mayor Eric Enriquez welcomed the expansion, saying the planned investment is expected to create employment opportunities and strengthen the city’s industrial economy.
The operation will expand the services available to regional contractors while establishing a foundation for EquipmentShare’s continued growth in Southern New Mexico.
