Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers will join community leaders and executives from Eli Lilly and Company Monday, April 17, to break ground on Lilly’s two new manufacturing facilities, marking the state’s first investment in the Boone County LEAP Innovation and Research District.
In May 2022, Lilly announced plans to locate at the LEAP district, investing $2.1 billion and creating up to 500 new jobs in central Indiana to support increased demand for existing Lilly medicines and help bring Lilly’s robust pipeline to patients around the world.
In addition to the investment already pledged, Lilly will make another announcement at Monday’s event.
