KINGMAN, Ariz. – Sept. 29, 2025 – Gov. Katie Hobbs joined Mohave College, community members, business leaders and elected officials to celebrate the grand opening of the Mohave College Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC), a Future48 Workforce Accelerator located at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. The ribbon-cutting ceremony also included leadership from the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), which partnered with Mohave College to bring the facility to life.
The 36,000-square-foot center provides hands-on training in high-demand careers such as welding, HVAC, industrial maintenance, robotics, computer-aided drafting and manufacturing fundamentals. More than 65 students are currently enrolled, with capacity to expand as demand grows. Guests at today’s event toured advanced design labs and collaborative innovation spaces while learning about the AMTC’s role in building a stronger regional and statewide workforce.

Today’s grand opening brings that vision to life—delivering hands-on skills training to prepare students in northwestern Arizona for careers in advanced manufacturing,” said Gov. Katie Hobbs. “I’m grateful to Mohave College for their leadership, and to the Arizona Commerce Authority and our industry partners for their collaboration to launch this state-of-the-art training facility.”

The Future48 Workforce Accelerator initiative is a collaboration between the State of Arizona, the Arizona Commerce Authority, and community colleges to provide targeted workforce training aligned with industry needs.
Industry partners for the Kingman AMTC include NUCOR Steel, Air Control HVAC, Phoenix Truck Driving, Progressive Pipe Fabricators, Shelves West, and the Kingman and Mohave Manufacturing Association (KAMMA).
