300 High-Skill Jobs to Be Created with State Support Through Performance-Based Tax Credits
Madison, WI — Governor Tony Evers, in partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), today announced a major expansion by Milwaukee Tool, a global leader in construction solutions. The company will invest $42 million in its newest facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, creating approximately 300 high-skill jobs over the coming years.
The expansion is supported by up to $4.5 million in performance-based Enterprise Zone tax credits from WEDC, reinforcing a nearly decade-long partnership that has fueled economic growth and innovation across Southeast Wisconsin.
“Milwaukee Tool continues to exemplify the innovation, excellence, and quality that Wisconsin is known for,” said Governor Evers. “Their continued investment in our state is a testament to the strength of our workforce and our shared commitment to building a 21st-century economy.”
Milwaukee Tool recently acquired a 22-acre property at 100 Heritage Reserve, where the new facility will be developed. The investment builds on the company’s significant presence in Wisconsin, which includes advanced research, development, and manufacturing operations in Brookfield, Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls, West Bend, Mukwonago, and Sun Prairie.
“Milwaukee Tool is a Wisconsin success story and an economic powerhouse for the region,” said WEDC Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes. “We’re proud to support their continued growth and innovation.”
Since 2016, WEDC has authorized more than $75 million in Enterprise Zone tax credits to support Milwaukee Tool’s expansion. In return, the company has invested over $420 million in capital expenditures and grown its Wisconsin workforce from 900 to more than 4,000 employees.
“This investment isn’t just about adding jobs—it’s about strengthening our ability to innovate, grow, and lead from right here in Wisconsin,” said Christine Delisle, Chief Financial Officer of Milwaukee Tool. “We’re proud to continue building the future of manufacturing in a state that’s been central to our story for over a century.”
The announcement was welcomed by the Milwaukee 7 (M7) Regional Economic Partnership, which supports businesses that export goods and services beyond the region.
“Milwaukee Tool’s growth reflects the strength of our talent pipeline and our region’s capacity to support industry-leading innovation,” said M7 Executive Director Rebecca Gries.
