New sandwich production lines will increase capacity and create 70 jobs in Lee County
JACKSON, Miss. (September 25, 2026) — Raybern Foods is expanding its sandwich production operation in Shannon, Mississippi. The company plans to invest $7.1 million in new equipment and create 70 jobs in Lee County.
Raybern Foods makes heat-and-serve deli-style sandwiches. Increased demand and new customer contracts are driving the expansion, which will add sandwich production lines at the Shannon facility.
“This expansion will allow us to increase production capacity to meet growing demand for our products while creating new opportunities for workers in the area,” said Doug Hall, Raybern Foods’ senior director of business development. “We appreciate the support of the Mississippi Development Authority and Lee County as we continue to grow our business in Mississippi.”
Mississippi Supports Food Manufacturing Expansion
The Mississippi Development Authority is assisting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, known as MFLEX. Lee County is also providing support.
“Raybern Foods has built a strong operation in Shannon, and rising demand is driving this $7.1 million investment and 70 new jobs,” said Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork.
Raybern Foods expanded to Shannon in 2015. The latest investment will increase production at an existing Mississippi operation as the company works to fulfill additional orders.
“Raybern Foods has been a valued part of Lee County for many years, and we’re excited to see them continue to grow here in Shannon,” said Lee County Board of Supervisors President Barry Parker.
