COLUMBIA, S.C. — September 17, 2025 — Riverstone Logistics, a leading supply chain and logistics company, announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Charlotte, North Carolina to Rock Hill, South Carolina, establishing its first South Carolina operation in York County. The company’s $16.4 million investment will create 159 new jobs, reinforcing South Carolina’s reputation as a top destination for corporate headquarters and logistics innovation.
The new headquarters will be located at 220 West White Street in Rock Hill, with operations expected to begin in July 2026. Riverstone Logistics specializes in final-mile delivery, freight brokerage, and custom logistics solutions, serving industries such as consumer electronics, building materials, and appliance installations.
“Rock Hill offers the perfect home for our next chapter,” said Charlie Workmon, CEO of Riverstone Logistics. “This move strengthens our business and deepens our commitment to love, serve, and improve in the community we’re joining.”
Founded in 2017, Riverstone Logistics has grown into a nationwide logistics provider with a purpose-driven mission to serve communities and improve the industry. The relocation marks a strategic milestone for the company, aligning its growth trajectory with South Carolina’s pro-business climate and skilled workforce.
Economic Development Support
The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project and awarded a $600,000 Set-Aside grant to York County to assist with building improvements. These incentives reflect the state’s commitment to attracting high-impact employers and supporting long-term economic growth.
“Riverstone Logistics’ relocation to York County reinforces South Carolina’s position as an ideal location for corporate headquarters,” said Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III. “This impressive investment will greatly benefit the region.”
“We are proud to welcome Riverstone Logistics to South Carolina,” added Governor Henry McMaster. “Their decision to invest in York County will bring new opportunity, strengthen our communities, and create 159 jobs.”
Local Impact
The move to Rock Hill’s The Thread development is expected to generate high-wage employment and contribute to the revitalization of the area’s urban core. Local leaders praised the announcement as a win for both economic development and community enrichment.
“Riverstone Logistics’ choice to relocate reflects the strength of our workforce and provides further opportunities for talent to work where they live,” said Rock Hill Mayor John Gettys.
“This project will attract and retain value-added jobs, creating opportunities that benefit residents and strengthen our local economy,” said York County Council Chairwoman Christi Cox.
“Congratulations to Riverstone Logistics on their decision to invest in Upstate SC,” said Upstate SC Alliance President and CEO John Lummus. “Their presence validates our region’s connectivity and talent pool.”
