New 550,000-square-foot Jackson County facility will manufacture low-voltage electrical components

ATLANTA (August 12, 2026) – Siemens plans to invest at least $185 million in a new advanced manufacturing facility in Pendergrass, Georgia, creating more than 1,400 jobs in Jackson County over the next three years.
The approximately 550,000-square-foot facility will manufacture low-voltage electrical components and expand Siemens’ advanced manufacturing capacity in the Southeast. The project remains subject to final approvals.
“For 140 years, Siemens has been a valued part of Georgia’s business community, and this latest investment decision is another testament to the strong economic partnership between our state and Germany,” said Georgia Gov. Brian P. Kemp. “We are proud to support this next chapter of growth and look forward to the impact of these quality jobs on the Pendergrass community and the surrounding area.”
Siemens Expands Advanced Manufacturing in Georgia
Siemens is a global technology company specializing in electrification, automation and industrial software. The company currently supports more than 1,700 employees across two manufacturing facilities and six offices in Georgia, including its Electrical Products operation in Peachtree Corners.
The proposed Pendergrass facility will strengthen Siemens’ ability to serve customers throughout the Southeast while providing greater access to the company’s existing workforce, suppliers and regional supply chain.
“Georgia was a natural choice for our next manufacturing investment,” said Barry Powell, North America president of Siemens’ Electrical Products business unit. “The state offers a strong business environment, access to a highly skilled workforce and close proximity to our existing operations and supply chain network across the Southeast.”
Powell said the new facility will expand Siemens’ advanced manufacturing capacity and help the company serve customers more efficiently.
“Building this facility strengthens our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding advanced manufacturing capacity in a region that is already home to many of the technicians, suppliers and industry expertise that support our business,” he said.
More Than 1,400 Georgia Manufacturing Jobs Planned
The facility will be located at 580 Raco Parkway near Pendergrass, pending final approvals. Buildout is expected to begin in November, with Siemens planning to start hiring in 2027.
Available positions are expected to include roles in:
- Engineering
- Fabrication
- Assembly
- Product testing
- Advanced manufacturing operations

Project Strengthens Jackson County’s Manufacturing Economy
Jackson County officials said the investment will create quality employment opportunities, diversify the local manufacturing base and support the county’s long-term economic development goals.
“Jackson County, a state leader in economic development, is pleased to welcome the global leader Siemens and their advanced manufacturing facility to our community,” said Marty Clark, chairman of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. “Siemens’ investment will create high-quality jobs, expand our manufacturing base, strengthen workforce opportunities and support the county’s long-term goals of sustainable economic growth and increased prosperity for our residents.”
The Georgia Department of Economic Development worked on the competitive project with the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce, Jackson County Industrial Development Authority, Georgia Power and Georgia Quick Start. Assistant Director of Statewide Projects Elizabeth McLean represented GDEcD’s Global Commerce team.
“At the forefront of innovation and a key partner for transportation and other technology solutions, Siemens has played an important role in Georgia’s advanced industries for decades,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson.
Wilson said Georgia’s ongoing engagement with Siemens leadership—including a 2025 visit to the company’s headquarters in Munich—helped strengthen the longstanding relationship between the company and the state.
