Investment marks historic U.S. debut for Uzbekistan-based manufacturer
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 15, 2025) — Governor Andy Beshear today announced that AKFA Aluminum Solutions, a division of Uzbekistan-based AKFA Group, will establish its first-ever U.S. manufacturing operation in Bowling Green, Kentucky, creating 331 quality, full-time jobs and reinforcing the Commonwealth’s growing reputation as a global destination for advanced manufacturing.
“Kentucky’s record-breaking economic momentum continues to attract companies from around the world, thanks to our skilled workforce and pro-business environment,” Gov. Beshear said. “AKFA Aluminum Solutions’ decision to launch its first U.S. operation in Kentucky is a historic milestone that strengthens international trade ties and delivers 331 new jobs for Kentuckians. We are proud to welcome AKFA to the Commonwealth and look forward to their long-term success.”
The Bowling Green facility will serve as a full-cycle aluminum production hub, featuring advanced extrusion, anodizing, and finishing capabilities that meet U.S. energy and environmental standards. The operation will integrate recycled aluminum billets and energy-efficient systems, supporting a low-carbon supply chain and aligning with growing demand for sustainable, high-performance materials across construction, transportation, and renewable energy markets.
“This project is more than a manufacturing facility—it represents a bridge between two nations,” said Ilhom Abiev, representative of AKFA Aluminum Solutions US LLC. “Kentucky offers everything we value: strategic location, a highly skilled workforce, and a forward-thinking community that embraces innovation. This investment reflects our commitment to long-term growth in the U.S. and to building trusted partnerships rooted in technology and shared opportunity.”
Abiev also emphasized the role of AKFA’s project leadership team, including Mirolim Mirmukhsinov, sales representative; Shakhzod Saidov, business development manager; Denis Ermalaev, technical director; and Sanjar Sayidov, production manager, whose combined expertise helped advance the company’s U.S. expansion strategy.
AKFA Aluminum Solutions U.S. LLC operates the aluminum division of AKFA Group, one of Central Asia’s largest industrial enterprises. The company employs more than 8,000 people across 20 facilities and produces up to 100,000 tons of aluminum products annually, serving global markets spanning infrastructure, transportation, and clean energy.
