Nearly 400,000-square-foot facility marks the company’s seventh operation in the Louisville and greater Shepherdsville area.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (October 8, 2026) — Arvato, a global provider of supply chain management and e-commerce logistics services, has celebrated the grand opening of a new distribution and fulfillment center in Louisville, Kentucky. The project is creating 150 jobs and expanding the company’s capacity to serve customers across North America.
The nearly 400,000-square-foot facility is Arvato’s seventh operation in the Louisville and greater Shepherdsville area. With the addition, the company’s total operational footprint in the region exceeds 4 million square feet.
The new fulfillment center strengthens Arvato’s North American logistics network and provides additional capacity to meet growing client demand.
Expanding Supply Chain and E-Commerce Logistics Capacity
Arvato’s Louisville expansion is designed to help customers scale their operations while managing increasingly complex supply chain requirements.
Andreas Podwojewski, managing director of North America and Brazil at Arvato, said customers need logistics partners that can support growth while providing flexibility and reliable operations. Expanding to seven facilities in the Louisville area strengthens the company’s ability to deliver those capabilities.
“Flexibility is often what our customers need most,” Podwojewski said.
The new operation adds capacity to a regional network that supports Arvato’s distribution and fulfillment services across multiple industries.
Supporting Job Growth in Louisville
Governor Andy Beshear welcomed the project, highlighting the role of distribution and logistics in Kentucky’s economic growth. He said Arvato’s continued investment will create employment opportunities for Kentuckians and support the company’s long-term success in Louisville.
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said the fulfillment center reinforces the city’s position as a logistics hub, adding capacity to its supply chain network while creating jobs for local families. He also recognized Arvato’s continued commitment to investing in the community.
