The new 436,000-square-foot production and distribution facility in Elsmere represents Niagara Bottling’s first Kentucky location and exceeds the company’s original investment commitment by more than $11 million.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (October 23, 2026) — Niagara Bottling, a leading manufacturer of private-label and branded beverages, has officially celebrated the grand opening of its new $141 million manufacturing facility in Elsmere, Kentucky. The investment will create 60 full-time jobs in Kenton County while expanding the company’s beverage production and distribution capabilities.
Originally announced in September 2024, the project has exceeded its initial investment commitment by more than $11 million, demonstrating Niagara Bottling’s long-term commitment to Northern Kentucky’s growing manufacturing sector.
The new facility is located at the C5 Airport East Logistics Center, a 52-acre industrial site developed by CORE5 Industrial Partners. The operation features more than 436,000 square feet of advanced manufacturing space dedicated to beverage production, warehousing and distribution.
Construction began in early 2025, with the facility representing a significant addition to the region’s food and beverage manufacturing industry.
“Kentucky’s leading manufacturing industry and companies like Niagara Bottling are investing in our people and helping fuel our record-breaking success,” said Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear. “I want to congratulate the company’s leaders on this wonderful milestone and look forward to seeing their success here in the commonwealth.”
Niagara Bottling Expands U.S. Manufacturing Footprint in Northern Kentucky
Niagara Bottling’s new Elsmere facility marks the company’s first manufacturing location in Kentucky and represents a strategic expansion of its nationwide production network.
The company produces a wide variety of beverages for major retailers, grocery chains, convenience stores and national beverage brands.
Its product portfolio includes bottled water, sparkling water, vitamin-enhanced and flavored water, sports drinks, ready-to-drink tea and coffee, and protein beverages.
The new Kenton County operation combines advanced beverage manufacturing with integrated distribution capabilities, supporting the company’s ability to serve customers and manage product movement across its supply chain.
The facility also expands Northern Kentucky’s industrial base by bringing new food and beverage production capacity to the region.
“At Niagara, we invest with the long-term in mind, and this new facility reflects our confidence in Northern Kentucky and its future,” said Brian Hess, executive vice president of Niagara Bottling. “This investment builds on our pride in American manufacturing and our commitment to creating meaningful career opportunities. We appreciate the partnership of state and local leaders who helped make this possible, and we look forward to being a part of Elsmere for years to come.”
$141 Million Investment Strengthens Kenton County’s Manufacturing Sector
The Niagara Bottling project highlights the role of industrial site development and infrastructure improvements in attracting major manufacturing investments.
Located within the C5 Airport East Logistics Center, the 52-acre property provides space for large-scale beverage production and distribution operations.
The project received support from state and local officials, including infrastructure funding designed to prepare industrial property for development.
In 2022, the Kentucky General Assembly and Gov. Beshear approved a $13 million site development and acquisition fund for Kenton County.
Of that amount, $669,000 supported infrastructure improvements associated with Niagara Bottling’s project, including the installation of power transmission lines.
The investment demonstrates how targeted infrastructure improvements can help communities accommodate manufacturing facilities that require significant utility capacity and transportation access.
Kenton County Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann emphasized the importance of using site development resources to attract projects that provide lasting economic benefits.
“When the General Assembly allocated Kenton County’s $13 million Site Development Fund, they charged us with supporting projects that would have a lasting, positive impact on our community,” Knochelmann said. “Niagara Bottling is exactly the kind of investment we envisioned, bringing quality jobs and a long-term commitment to Kenton County.”
Elsmere Welcomes Niagara Bottling’s First Kentucky Production Facility
The grand opening represents an important economic development milestone for Elsmere, bringing new manufacturing employment opportunities and significant private investment to the community.
Niagara Bottling’s 60 new full-time positions will contribute to Kenton County’s workforce and expand employment within Northern Kentucky’s food and beverage production industry.
The facility’s operations also create potential opportunities for regional businesses providing transportation, maintenance, packaging, industrial equipment and other manufacturing support services.
Elsmere Mayor Marty Lenhof welcomed the company’s investment and its commitment to establishing a long-term presence in the city.
“Niagara Bottling is a strong member of Elsmere’s business community, and we’re proud to officially celebrate the company’s investment in our city,” Lenhof said. “Niagara’s decision to establish its first Kentucky facility here brings quality jobs, significant investment and new opportunities to Elsmere. We look forward to a strong partnership for many years to come.”
Northern Kentucky Attracts Food and Beverage Manufacturing Investment
Northern Kentucky continues to position itself as a competitive location for advanced manufacturing and food and beverage production.
The region offers access to transportation infrastructure, water resources, a skilled workforce and major consumer markets.
These advantages can be particularly important for beverage manufacturers, which depend on reliable water supplies, efficient distribution networks and production facilities capable of serving high-volume customers.
Niagara Bottling’s investment reinforces the region’s appeal to manufacturers seeking to expand operations within the Midwest and Southeast.
BE NKY Growth Partnership, the regional economic development organization, has worked to promote Northern Kentucky’s manufacturing capabilities and attract new business investment.
“Niagara Bottling’s investment highlights the combination of assets that makes Northern Kentucky a strong location for advanced manufacturing,” said Lee Crume, president and CEO of BE NKY Growth Partnership. “Our high-quality water resources, skilled workforce and central location give food and beverage manufacturers a compelling platform for growth. After seeing Niagara successfully operate through its busy season, we’re proud to celebrate the company’s investment and its long-term commitment to Northern Kentucky.”
Niagara Bottling Builds on More Than Six Decades of Beverage Manufacturing
Headquartered in Diamond Bar, California, Niagara Bottling is a family-owned and operated beverage manufacturing company founded in 1963.
The business began when Andrew Peykoff Sr. started delivering bottled water in five-gallon glass containers to homes and offices.
Over the following decades, Niagara expanded its manufacturing capabilities and product portfolio, developing relationships with major beverage brands, retailers, grocery chains, club stores and convenience stores across the country.
Today, the company manufactures a broad range of packaged beverages and operates an extensive production and distribution network.
The new Elsmere facility represents another step in that expansion, increasing the company’s domestic manufacturing capacity while establishing its first production presence in Kentucky.
Kentucky Manufacturing Growth Supported by Industrial Development Investments
The Niagara Bottling grand opening demonstrates the importance of manufacturing investment to Kentucky’s economic development efforts.
With $141 million in capital investment and 60 new full-time jobs, the project adds production capacity to the state’s food and beverage sector while supporting local economic activity.
The facility also illustrates how coordinated efforts among private developers, manufacturers, economic development organizations and government agencies can help bring large-scale industrial projects to communities.
For Kenton County and the broader Northern Kentucky region, Niagara Bottling’s expanded investment provides another example of how infrastructure readiness, workforce availability and regional logistics advantages can influence corporate expansion decisions.
As the company continues operations in Elsmere, the new facility will contribute to Kentucky’s manufacturing economy while supporting Niagara Bottling’s long-term production and distribution strategy.
