OXFORD, Ala. — Associated MetalCast is expanding its manufacturing operations in East Alabama with a $6.24 million investment that will create 50 new jobs and enhance production capabilities across facilities in Oxford.
The project includes equipment upgrades and advanced manufacturing technology enhancements at two locations spanning Calhoun and Talladega counties. The expansion will be implemented over the next six years, with new positions offering average annual wages exceeding $49,000.
Founded in 1998, Associated MetalCast produces precision ferrous and non-ferrous cast components for a diverse range of industries, including water infrastructure, automotive, heavy truck and industrial equipment. The company also provides value-added services such as machining, finishing, assembly and supply chain support, enabling customers to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
State leaders say the investment reinforces Alabama’s competitive position in advanced manufacturing.
“Associated MetalCast represents the type of innovative, high-performance manufacturer that continues to drive growth across Alabama,” said Ellen McNair, Alabama Secretary of Commerce. “This expansion highlights both the strength of our workforce and the advantages of doing business in Alabama.”
The project has garnered strong regional support, including collaboration from local governments in Oxford, Calhoun County and Talladega County, as well as the Calhoun County Economic Development Council. Workforce training will be supported by AIDT, helping ensure a pipeline of skilled labor as the company scales operations.
Company officials emphasized that the expansion will strengthen production capacity while maintaining high standards of quality and precision. The upgrades are expected to improve operational efficiency, increase throughput and position the company to meet rising demand across its core markets.
With a modern manufacturing footprint and a focus on integrated services, Associated MetalCast continues to build on its reputation as a reliable supplier of precision components while contributing to the long-term growth of Alabama’s industrial base.
