Creating 48 Jobs and Investing $4.4 Million
ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (October 30, 2025) — Biederman Enterprises Ltd., a leading Canadian manufacturer of high-quality plastic grease cartridges, announced plans to open its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Rogersville, Tennessee. The $4.4 million investment will create 48 new jobs and mark a major step in the company’s international growth strategy.
The new facility will enhance Biederman’s production capacity, expand product lines, and strengthen the company’s presence in North America’s industrial packaging market. The Rogersville operation will also improve logistics for U.S.-based customers, offering faster turnaround times and more sustainable distribution solutions.
“Expanding into Tennessee marks a major milestone for Biederman,” said Taylor Irving, President of Biederman. “This new facility allows us to serve customers across the globe with greater efficiency, flexibility, and speed while reinforcing our commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation.”
Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Biederman is recognized worldwide for its durable, sustainable, and precision-engineered grease cartridges, used by leading lubricant and industrial brands. The company integrates post-consumer and post-industrial recycled materials into its production process, emphasizing environmentally responsible manufacturing.
Tennessee leaders welcomed Biederman’s decision to locate its first U.S. facility in the state, citing the move as another example of Tennessee’s growing global appeal for manufacturers.
“Tennessee continues to receive global recognition as a premier destination for business,” said Governor Bill Lee. “With our low taxes, pro-business environment, and highly skilled workforce, our state offers an unmatched foundation for success. I am proud to welcome Biederman to Tennessee and look forward to their future growth.”
Since 2019, Canada has been Tennessee’s top foreign direct investment (FDI) partner, contributing more than $1.7 billion in capital investment and creating over 4,000 jobs statewide.
“Building and fostering strong international partnerships is central to our recruitment strategy,” said Deputy Governor and TNECD Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter. “Biederman’s investment underscores the strength of those relationships and reinforces Tennessee’s business-friendly reputation.”
TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley also praised the collaboration that made the project possible:
“Creating job opportunities and bringing investment to the region is fundamental to TVA’s mission of service. We’re proud to partner with Holston Electric Cooperative, the Hawkins County Industrial Board, and TNECD to welcome Biederman to Rogersville.”
Local officials highlighted the economic impact of the new facility:
“This investment isn’t just a boost to our economy — it’s a vote of confidence in the people of Hawkins County,” said Senator Bobby Harshbarger (R-Sullivan County). “With 48 new jobs and more than $4 million in capital, we’re building momentum and writing the next chapter of rural Tennessee’s success story.”
