$26.1 million investment strengthens Tennessee’s commercial door manufacturing sector and brings total employment to nearly 200
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 20, 2025) — CDF Distributors will relocate its headquarters and expand manufacturing operations in Sumner County, investing $26.1 million and creating 85 new jobs at a new facility in Gallatin, Tennessee. The company will operate from the former Simpson Strong-Tie building and, upon completion, employ 195 Tennesseans.
Governor Bill Lee announced the project alongside Deputy Governor and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and company leadership.
“Creating greater opportunity for Tennesseans is one of my administration’s top priorities, and I’m grateful to CDF for their commitment to bring 85 new jobs to Sumner County,” said Gov. Bill Lee. “With our highly skilled workforce and strong business climate, Tennessee continues to be the best place for companies like CDF to grow and succeed.”
Company Founded in Gallatin, Now Serving Customers Nationwide
Founded in 2011, CDF Distributors—owned by Foreword Companies—began as a local supplier and has grown into a national manufacturer of commercial doors, frames, and hardware, serving customers across North America. The expansion marks a return to the company’s roots, reinforcing its long-standing presence in Gallatin.
“For more than a decade, CDF has been an important partner to Tennessee,” said Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter. “Each time a company chooses to expand here, it underscores what sets Tennessee apart—a skilled workforce, a supportive business environment, and a commitment to helping companies succeed.”
The new headquarters will consolidate leadership teams and production to support growing customer demand and accelerate nationwide distribution.
“Our expansion in Gallatin reflects both the strength of this region and the dedication of our team,” said Steve Kincanon, President & COO, Foreword Companies. “This new facility positions us to deliver even greater value to our customers nationwide while continuing to invest in the community that has supported us for over a decade.”
Regional Support and Workforce Impact
Local utilities and economic partners also supported the project.
“Supporting companies like CDF that create job opportunities and investment in the region is fundamental to TVA’s mission of service,” said John Bradley, Senior Vice President of Economic Development, TVA. “We are proud to partner with TNECD and the Gallatin Economic Development Agency to support this expansion.”
