FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Mar. 6, 2026) — Conagra Brands, Inc., one of North America’s leading branded food companies, will invest approximately $220 million to expand its manufacturing operations in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a project expected to create more than 100 new jobs over the next five years while increasing production capacity at the facility.
The multi-year investment will support expanded production capabilities at Conagra’s Fayetteville plant, strengthening the company’s frozen foods portfolio and reinforcing the region’s position as a hub for food manufacturing in Northwest Arkansas.
“This significant investment in our Fayetteville facility will allow us to continue growing our leading frozen foods business,” said Craig Weiss, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain at Conagra Brands. “Conagra is committed to innovation across our operations, including our supply chain, and we are proud to continue expanding in Fayetteville where we have a long history.”
Construction on the expansion is expected to begin later this year and will significantly increase the facility’s chicken production capacity, supporting continued innovation and growth within Conagra’s protein portfolio.
Arkansas leaders say the investment highlights the state’s strong manufacturing environment and skilled workforce.
“Northwest Arkansas continues to lead the way in growth and innovation across America’s heartland,” said Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “Conagra’s expansion in Fayetteville builds on decades of partnership and strengthens the region as a center for food innovation and manufacturing excellence.”
The Fayetteville facility currently produces ready-to-eat meals under several well-known brands, including Hungry-Man®, Banquet®, Healthy Choice®, Gardein®, and evol®. The plant manufactures approximately 15 million cases of product annually.
According to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), the expansion further strengthens Arkansas’ growing food manufacturing sector.
“Conagra has long been an important part of Arkansas’ business community, and this expansion demonstrates the company’s continued confidence in our state,” said Clint O’Neal, Executive Director of AEDC. “This investment will have a meaningful economic impact in Fayetteville and throughout Northwest Arkansas.”
Local officials say the project will strengthen the region’s manufacturing base while creating new opportunities for workers.
“A $220 million expansion sends a strong signal about Fayetteville’s future,” said Fayetteville Mayor Molly Rawn. “This investment strengthens our manufacturing sector, creates high-quality jobs and reinforces Fayetteville’s role as a regional economic leader.”
Jennifer Irwin, President and CEO of Chamber Fayetteville, said the company’s continued growth will have a lasting impact on the community.
“Conagra is one of Fayetteville’s most important employers and economic partners,” Irwin said. “Their continued investment in our community supports local families, strengthens our workforce and reinforces Fayetteville’s reputation as a strong place to do business.”
Headquartered in Chicago, Conagra Brands operates production facilities across North America and employs approximately 18,300 people. The company maintains two production facilities in Arkansas — Fayetteville and Russellville — employing roughly 2,000 Arkansans.
With the Fayetteville expansion, Conagra continues to grow its domestic manufacturing footprint while supporting job creation and economic development in Northwest Arkansas.
