Hobart, IN — September 9, 2025 — Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation, a subsidiary of Japan-based Daifuku Co., Ltd., proudly announces the grand opening of its newly expanded facility in Hobart, Indiana. The event will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST, marking a major milestone in the company’s North American growth strategy.
The expansion adds 310,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space to the existing 324,000 square foot facility, resulting in a total footprint of 634,000 square feet. This strategic investment reinforces Daifuku’s commitment to enhancing its material handling equipment (MHE) manufacturing capabilities in the U.S., enabling the company to meet rising demand for advanced automation solutions across North America.
Currently employing 440 professionals, the Hobart facility is expected to grow its workforce by an additional 350 employees over the coming years, contributing significantly to regional job creation and economic development.
