Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA) proudly announces the 15th work anniversary of Mr. Davin Lopez, who has played a pivotal role in shaping the economic landscape of Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, and the greater Borderplex region.
Since joining MVEDA in 2009, Mr. Lopez has exhibited unwavering dedication and passion for fostering economic growth and community development. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in attracting businesses, creating jobs, and enhancing the region’s overall prosperity.
Throughout his remarkable 15-year tenure, Davin Lopez has made an indelible mark on the economic landscape of Doña Ana County and the thriving city of Las Cruces. Under Mr. Lopez’s guidance, MVEDA has achieved numerous milestones and has been a driving force behind the announcements and infusion of over 1.8 billion dollars in capital investment and the creation of 8,500 jobs in the region, catapulting it into a hub of economic activity and growth.
One of Lopez’s notable achievements lies in his strategic efforts to attract major corporations to set up operations in Doña Ana County. Through his adept negotiations and forward-thinking approach, he played a pivotal role in securing commitments from industry giants such as Hota Industrial Manufacturing and Stampeed Meat Inc. and in industries ranging from value-added agriculture to technology organizations. These companies not only brought substantial financial investments to the region but also contributed significantly to job creation, fostering a dynamic employment environment for the local workforce.
Beyond the allure of attracting new businesses, Lopez’s impact extends to the nurturing of existing enterprises. Under his guidance, MVEDA has actively engaged in retention and expansion initiatives for established companies. Electronic Care Giver, Seco Spice, and Saputo Cheese are among the enterprises that have benefited from MVEDA’s strategic support and collaborative efforts, further solidifying their presence and growth within the region.
