Investment supports four suppliers across Lebanon, Williamsburg, Greenville, and Frankfort as part of GE Appliances’ national manufacturing expansion
FRANKFORT, Ky. (November 20, 2025) — GE Appliances is investing $40 million across four plastics suppliers in Kentucky to strengthen its U.S. laundry manufacturing supply chain, Governor Andy Beshear announced today. The funding supports EPC in Lebanon, Jones Plastic in Williamsburg (headquartered in Louisville), Plastic Products Co. Inc. in Lebanon and Greenville, and a fourth supplier located in Frankfort.
The contracts represent the first wave of supplier investments tied to GE Appliances’ larger $3 billion commitment to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint, boost domestic sourcing, and increase production capacity across multiple appliance platforms.
“GE Appliances believes in Kentucky and our workforce, and the more than $40 million awarded to suppliers in the commonwealth will have a ripple effect that everyone benefits from,” said Gov. Andy Beshear. “Kentucky is proud to be this iconic company’s home, and we are grateful for their continued investment in America. Together, we will ensure U.S. manufacturing remains strong with Kentucky and GE Appliances leading the way.”
Investment Expands Supplier Capacity for Laundry Production
The supplier funding will help expand plastics capacity for washer and dryer components, supporting GE Appliances’ growing laundry business and domestic production efforts.
“When we invest in U.S. manufacturing and our people, it drives growth far beyond our own walls,” said Lee Lagomarcino, Vice President of Clothes Care, GE Appliances. “These new supplier contracts represent what ‘Built for America’ is all about—creating jobs, investing in U.S. production, and building opportunity that multiplies.”
The company credited strong partnerships with state and local leaders for enabling its long-term growth in Kentucky.
Part of $3 Billion National Expansion and Workforce Growth
In August, GE Appliances announced a plan to invest more than $3 billion over five years in U.S. facilities, workforce development, and community partnerships. When complete, the company will have invested $6.5 billion nationwide since 2016.
In June, GE Appliances and Gov. Beshear announced a $490 million expansion in Louisville, creating 800 new jobs and including a new combination washer/dryer plant at the company’s global headquarters.
The company currently spends $318 million annually with more than 480 Kentucky suppliers, reinforcing the state’s role as a critical hub in the company’s national supply network.
