ATLANTA (Mar. 18, 2026) — Georgia continues to strengthen its position as a national hub for healthcare technology innovation as Glytec, a rapidly expanding health IT company, announced plans to relocate its global headquarters to Cobb County. The move is expected to create approximately 500 new high-quality jobs over the coming years, further reinforcing metro Atlanta’s growing life sciences and digital health ecosystem.
Governor Brian P. Kemp highlighted the project as another example of Georgia’s competitive advantages in attracting high-growth technology firms.
“Georgia’s skilled workforce and pro-business environment continue to support the expansion of global healthcare technology leaders like Glytec,” said Kemp. “This investment will bring well-paying jobs to Cobb County while reinforcing our state’s reputation as a premier destination for innovation and business growth.”
Founded in Georgia by a licensed endocrinologist, Glytec has emerged as a global leader in clinical decision-support software designed to manage insulin dosing and improve outcomes for hospitalized patients with diabetes. The company’s expansion reflects rising demand for digital health solutions that enhance clinical workflows and patient safety.
Glytec CEO Patrick Cua said Georgia’s business climate, connectivity, and talent pipeline were key factors in the company’s site selection process.
“As we enter the next phase of growth, Georgia was the clear choice for our global headquarters,” Cua said. “The state’s supportive business environment, world-class infrastructure, and quality of life for our workforce make it an ideal location for scaling our operations. We appreciate the collaboration with state and local partners who helped bring this project to fruition.”
The company will establish its headquarters at 2300 Windy Ridge Parkway near the Cumberland area, with initial fit-out investments estimated at $100,000 and additional capital expenditures anticipated as operations expand.
Local leaders emphasized the project’s broader economic impact and alignment with regional industry strengths.
“We are proud to welcome Glytec to Cobb County,” said Sharon Mason, president and CEO of the Cobb Chamber. “This relocation underscores the strength of our business ecosystem and our ability to attract innovative companies shaping the future of healthcare technology.”
Metro Atlanta Chamber President and CEO Katie Kirkpatrick noted that the region’s workforce continues to drive growth across the life sciences and technology sectors.
“Access to world-class talent remains metro Atlanta’s greatest asset,” Kirkpatrick said. “Companies like Glytec benefit from our strong university network and diverse workforce, which enable them to innovate and scale.”
The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) supported the project in partnership with Select Cobb, Georgia Power, and the Metro Atlanta Chamber.
“Georgia’s growing healthcare technology cluster provides an ideal environment for companies advancing patient-care solutions,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson. “Glytec’s decision to locate its global headquarters here reflects the strength of our life sciences ecosystem.”
