Maryland food manufacturer opens new 80,000-square-foot production facility in Anne Arundel County
BALTIMORE, MD — September 15, 2026 — Maryland-based food company Holly Poultry is expanding its operations with a new manufacturing and production facility in Hanover, Maryland, a project expected to create 140 new full-time jobs over the next four years.
The family-owned company, headquartered in Baltimore, has opened an 80,000-square-foot facility at 1020 Airport 100 Way in Anne Arundel County. The investment will expand Holly Poultry’s processing, packaging and fulfillment capabilities while supporting the continued growth of its grocery retail business.

Holly Poultry Expands Grocery Retail Operations
For more than three decades, Holly Poultry has built its business around poultry distribution and processing, serving foodservice, wholesale and restaurant customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
The company’s new Hanover facility represents the next phase of its growth strategy, providing dedicated infrastructure to expand its grocery retail platform.
Holly Poultry produces both private-label products and its proprietary consumer brands, including Easy Street® and One Fine Chicken™.
The new facility will provide additional processing, packaging and fulfillment capacity as the company increases its presence in grocery stores across the region.

New Facility Supports Regional Retail Growth
Holly Poultry products are currently available through grocery retailers including ALDI, ShopRite, Giant Food, Harris Teeter and Safeway.
The additional production capacity in Hanover is expected to help the company expand relationships with existing retail partners while supporting entry into additional grocery markets.
The investment also strengthens Maryland’s food manufacturing and processing sector by expanding domestic production capacity and creating new employment opportunities in Anne Arundel County.
Maryland Provides Economic Development Support
To support Holly Poultry’s expansion, the company is eligible for several state and local economic development incentives.
The company may receive a $750,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland, a Maryland Department of Commerce program designed to support business attraction and expansion projects.
Holly Poultry is also eligible for a $50,000 grant through the Partnership for Workforce Quality program, which helps Maryland companies develop and train their workforce.
Additionally, the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation is providing eligibility for a $75,000 conditional loan to support the project.
