Metal fabricator will invest more than $1.6 million and create over 30 new jobs in Mount Pleasant
MOUNT PLEASANT, Tenn. (June 26, 2025) — Hygrade Components, a metal fabricator serving the fenestration industry, will expand its manufacturing operations in Maury County, Tennessee, with a more than $1.6 million investment and the creation of over 30 new jobs.
The company announced a strategic, long-term lease commitment at its North Main Street location in Mount Pleasant, a move that will support Hygrade Components’ growth into new markets and strengthen its long-standing presence in Middle Tennessee.
As part of the expansion, Hygrade Components will add approximately 100,000 square feet to its existing Mount Pleasant plant. Once the project is complete, the facility is expected to employ 100 people.
“Tennessee continues to attract companies like Hygrade Components due to our highly skilled workforce and business-friendly climate,” said Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee. “This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and supporting job creation statewide, and I am grateful for the opportunities this project will create for families across Maury County.”
The announcement marks more than 30 years of Hygrade Components doing business in Tennessee. Founded in 1939 in Long Island, New York, the company expanded to Mount Pleasant in 1994 and has continued to manufacture metal components primarily used in the fabrication of windows and doors.
“When a company chooses to do business in our state, it speaks to the strength of our workforce and the business climate we’ve built to support growth and expansion,” said Deputy Gov. and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter. “We thank Hygrade Components for more than 30 years of commitment to Tennessee and stand ready to support this company’s success for the next 30-plus years.”
Hygrade Components CEO Randall D. Gottlieb said the lease agreement will allow the company to expand capacity, improve service and continue investing in the Mount Pleasant community.
“On behalf of Hygrade Components’ management team, I am thrilled to announce our strategic lease agreement at 1319 North Main Street,” Gottlieb said. “This long-term commitment not only expands our operational footprint but also empowers us to innovate faster, scale our services and better serve our growing client base over the next decade. This milestone guarantees our presence in the community for years to come, allowing us to build deeper relationships, create lasting local jobs and deliver sustained excellence.”
The project was supported by Mount Pleasant Power System, Maury Alliance, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, the Middle Tennessee Industrial Development Association and TVA.
“We are excited to celebrate Hygrade Components’ announcement to create new jobs and investment in Mount Pleasant,” said Heidi Smith, vice president of economic development for TVA. “Working in partnership with Mount Pleasant Power System, Maury Alliance, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and Middle Tennessee Industrial Development Association furthers our shared commitment to fostering investment and the creation of job opportunities for the communities we serve. TVA is proud to support companies like Hygrade Components that contribute to the prosperity and vibrancy of our region.”
State and local leaders said the expansion reinforces Maury County’s role as a strong location for manufacturing growth.
“Hygrade Components has built a strong reputation as a quality manufacturer and valued employer in Maury County, and I am proud to see the company continue to grow in Mount Pleasant,” said Sen. Joey Hensley. “This $1.6 million investment and the creation of more than 30 new jobs demonstrate Hygrade Components’ long-term commitment to our community and the skilled workforce that helps drive Tennessee’s manufacturing success.”
“With more than three decades in Mount Pleasant, Hygrade Components has deep roots in our community and remains a trusted member of our local economy,” said Rep. Kip Capley. “This significant announcement is great news for Maury County families, and I wish the company continued success as it expands operations in Middle Tennessee.”
Hygrade Components manufactures metal components used primarily in windows and doors. The company has grown through both organic expansion and acquisitions, broadening its manufacturing capabilities while serving customers across the fenestration industry.
