Eligible sponsors can receive up to $6,000 per new apprentice to support training in semiconductor, nuclear energy and related infrastructure occupations.
BOSTON — November 4, 2026 — Jobs for the Future has opened applications for a $34 million incentive fund designed to expand Registered Apprenticeship programs supporting critical infrastructure industries.
The initiative targets workforce needs in Super Intelligence, semiconductor and nuclear energy infrastructure, including occupations involved in building, operating and maintaining data centers, semiconductor facilities and energy sites.
Incentives Support Hiring and Retention
Eligible U.S.-based Registered Apprenticeship sponsors can receive payments of up to $6,000 per new apprentice. The performance-based approach ties funding to apprentice hiring, retention and progress.
Over four years, the initiative aims to support more than 6,200 apprentices across more than 40 states while helping new and existing apprenticeship programs grow.
Applications Open on a Rolling Basis
JFF will administer the fund with industry and workforce partners through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Pay-for-Performance Incentive Payments Program.
The $34 million incentive fund is part of a broader $40 million federal grant award supporting the initiative.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis while funding remains available. Eligibility details and application instructions are available at JFF’s apprenticeship fund website.
