Creating Over 107 High-Paying Local Jobs in the MedTech Sector
LANSING, Mich. — November 4, 2025 — Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced a major business expansion project in Wixom, Michigan, led by ptMantra Inc. and Youngsoft Inc., supported by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). The project represents a $2.35 million capital investment and will create at least 107 new high-paying local jobs in Michigan’s critical medical technologies industry.
“I am excited that these two companies are coming together to drive economic growth and prosperity in Oakland County,” said Governor Whitmer. “Their partnership will bring over 107 new good-paying local jobs to Michigan, helping us revitalize our communities and invest in our workforce. This expansion also leverages Michigan’s historic leadership in medical device and technology innovation, supporting healthier communities across the state.”
Matt McCauley, Senior Vice President of Regional Development at MEDC, added, “ptMantra and Youngsoft’s announcement is exciting news for Wixom and Oakland County, demonstrating how Michigan’s ‘Make It in Michigan’ economic development strategy continues to drive innovation, business investment, and community revitalization. Companies are choosing Michigan for its talented workforce, and this is no exception.”
Pioneering Remote Therapeutic Monitoring Technology
The companies plan to develop and deploy a first-of-its-kind Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) and remote patient management system, providing secure, mobile-based, AI-powered therapeutic monitoring. This technology allows patients to adhere to their rehabilitation plans from the comfort of their homes, expanding access to high-quality healthcare.
Founded in 2021, ptMantra Inc. specializes in RTM technology. Youngsoft Inc., founded in 1996, has grown into a global IT solutions and consulting organization with 1,200 employees. Both companies were founded by Rupesh Srivastava, with leadership at ptMantra including Rupesh as Founder & CEO and Roger Goble as Co-CEO, combining technical IT expertise with deep knowledge of orthopedic and physical therapy care.
“The cutting-edge work ptMantra is doing will help people stay healthy and live better lives, and their expansion in Wixom will promote new jobs and a healthy economy,” said David Coulter, Oakland County Executive.
“The City of Wixom is proud to support ptMantra’s efforts to improve patient outcomes while creating high-quality tech and healthcare jobs in our community,” said Drew Benson, Assistant City Manager & Director of Economic Development for the City of Wixom. “Wixom has long been a hub for innovative medical technologies, and ptMantra’s growth underscores the strength of our regional economic ecosystem.”
Strong Economic Impact and Workforce Development
The expansion is expected to generate $2.35 million in capital investment and create at least 107 new jobs with wages starting at $25 per hour plus benefits, above the regional median wage of $23.73. The project received a $404,000 performance-based grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) through the Michigan Business Development Program.
Additionally, Michigan Works! has proposed workforce training support valued at $785,000, and the City of Wixom is providing expedited permitting, talent support, and retention assistance to ensure project success.
Roger Goble, Co-CEO of ptMantra, stated, “We are honored to partner with the MEDC and grateful for their support. As the only Michigan-based company delivering this cutting-edge technology, our patient engagement platform improves outcomes, reduces healthcare costs, and expands access to care—especially in rural communities. This project allows us to create quality jobs in Michigan and accelerate meaningful change in healthcare.”
Michigan continues to be a national hub for life sciences and medical technology innovation, offering a skilled workforce, high quality of life, and lower cost of living—making the Great Lakes State an ideal location for medtech companies to grow and thrive.
