Creating 80 New High-Tech Jobs
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Modus21, LLC, a Charleston-based business technology consulting firm, announced plans to expand its operations in Charleston County with a $1.1 million investment that will create 80 new jobs in the region. The expansion strengthens South Carolina’s growing technology sector and enhances the company’s capacity to support commercial and defense customers nationwide.
Founded in 2004, Modus21 specializes in delivering advanced technology solutions including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), agile software development, DevSecOps, cloud computing, systems and software integration, process automation, and cybersecurity services. The company is headquartered at 1362 McMillan Avenue in North Charleston, where it is expanding its corporate facilities and upgrading equipment to support workforce growth and the development of the company’s Cloud Innovation Lab (CIL).

To support the project, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded Charleston County a $50,000 Set-Aside grant.

Company and state officials emphasized the impact of Modus21’s continued investment in Charleston County.

Governor Henry McMaster welcomed the expansion as a strong example of South Carolina’s pro-business environment.

Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III also commended the project:
