Moov, the world’s largest and fastest-growing marketplace for used semiconductor equipment, celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters in Tempe, Arizona. Moov will occupy the entire 16th floor of state-of-the-art new office space at 100 Mill, spanning about 32,000 square feet. The new space will accommodate Moov’s growing headcount which more than doubled in 2022 and is expected to grow by another 50-75% in greater Phoenix this year. Moov’s new headquarters will support 180 new jobs.
Moov leadership celebrated the grand opening alongside Governor Katie Hobbs, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) President and CEO Sandra Watson, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC), community leaders, and Moov employees.
“The opening of Moov’s new headquarters here in Tempe is the culmination of years of hard work and collaboration,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “Moov joins a growing list of bold, cutting-edge companies who are strengthening Arizona’s economy and putting us ahead of the global competition.”
“Arizona continues to do an excellent job incentivizing chipmakers to invest in building and expanding locally,” said Steven Zhou, CEO and Co-Founder, Moov. “It is critically important that, once here, chipmakers have the infrastructure and partners they need to be successful. We see Moov as substantially contributing in this capacity by enabling manufacturers to reliably, securely, and efficiently procure current and mature semiconductor equipment as well as recoup value on surplus and idle tooling.”
“We are excited to celebrate the launch of Moov’s new headquarters in Tempe,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “Moov has been an incredible partner working to advance the U.S. and Arizona’s semiconductor ecosystem. We’re grateful for Moov’s commitment to our state, enhancing our reputation as an epicenter for innovation.”
“The grand opening of Moov’s new headquarters in Tempe marks another milestone for the thriving semiconductor ecosystem in Greater Phoenix,” said Chris Camacho, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. “Moov plays a vital role in supporting the growth and success of local chipmakers and we are proud to partner with them in driving the continued expansion of this region’s semiconductor industry.”
“Tempe is known for innovation. Moov is truly a forward-thinking company and will be a welcome addition to our thriving technology community,” said Tempe Mayor Corey Woods. “We appreciate Moov’s investment in Tempe and the jobs the company will bring to our city.”
