RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (October 15, 2025) — Owens Corning, a global leader in building materials and insulation products, celebrated the grand opening of its new Foamular® NGX™ manufacturing facility in Russellville, Arkansas. The $150,000-square-foot plant represents a major milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community investment.
The state-of-the-art facility will produce Owens Corning’s next-generation Foamular® NGX™ insulation products for residential and commercial markets and has already created over 50 new local jobs. Construction began in 2023 and was completed safely in August, with full operations expected by year-end.
“The grand opening of our new Foamular® NGX™ manufacturing plant in Russellville marks a significant milestone in Owens Corning’s journey to deliver sustainable building solutions,” said Jose Canovas, president of Insulation at Owens Corning. “This facility reflects our commitment to innovation, our customers’ growth, and the vibrant Russellville community.”
Arkansas leaders praised the company’s continued investment in the state.
“Arkansas is growing at unprecedented rates, and it’s companies like Owens Corning that help us keep up with demand,” said Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “Their new Russellville facility ensures they’ll remain a vital part of the Natural State for decades to come.”
Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC), added, “Russellville’s strong workforce and business-friendly environment make it the ideal home for this expansion, which will strengthen the River Valley’s advanced manufacturing sector.”
Owens Corning’s connection to Arkansas spans nearly 40 years, and the new facility deepens its local impact. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Owens Corning Foundation donated $50,000 to The Russ Bus, a local nonprofit supporting homeless individuals and community charities.
“We are proud to be part of a community that shares our values of safety, sustainability, and growth,” said Clint Price, plant leader at Owens Corning Russellville. “This project is a testament to the strength of our workforce and our partners at the state and local level.”
The event featured remarks from local officials, plant tours, and a community luncheon celebrating the milestone.
