GREENWOOD, Ind. (Feb. 24, 2026) — Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced that Resmed (NYSE: RMD), a global leader in health technology focused on sleep, breathing and home-based care solutions, plans to establish its first Midwest distribution operation in Indiana. The project will create more than 100 new high-wage jobs and further strengthen the state’s nationally recognized life sciences industry.
“Indiana’s life sciences sector continues to attract global innovators and industry leaders,” said Gov. Braun. “Located at the crossroads of America, Indiana offers the infrastructure and connectivity companies like Resmed need to serve customers efficiently while delivering life-changing healthcare solutions.”
$30 Million Investment in Greenwood
Resmed will invest approximately $30 million to develop a 446,500-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility at 1415 Collins Road in Greenwood. The state-of-the-art center will support distribution of medical products and technologies used to treat sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other sleep and breathing disorders.
The Greenwood location will become Resmed’s first Midwest distribution hub, complementing its existing facilities in California and Georgia. Once operational, the new facility is expected to expand the company’s two-day shipping coverage across North America from 75% to 90% and reduce delivery times to Canada by one full day.
Operations are scheduled to begin in 2027, with hiring planned across multiple roles, including high-skilled technicians. The company also plans to invest significantly in workforce training to maintain product quality and ensure proper handling of sensitive medical equipment.
“We’re proud to expand our distribution network in Greenwood as part of Resmed’s continued commitment to U.S. manufacturing and logistics,” said Shane Azzi, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Resmed. “Indiana’s strong talent base and collaborative business environment played a major role in our decision. This new center will enhance our ability to serve providers and patients while supporting long-term regional growth.”

Headquartered in San Diego, Resmed develops AI-powered digital health technologies, cloud-connected medical devices and software solutions that improve care for patients with sleep apnea, COPD and other chronic conditions. Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers welcomed the investment, noting the project’s economic and healthcare impact.
“Resmed’s decision to locate in Greenwood is a win for our residents and local economy,” Myers said. “This investment brings high-quality jobs to our community while strengthening our role in delivering essential healthcare products nationwide.”
Indiana’s life sciences industry includes more than 3,250 establishments employing over 70,000 workers, with average annual wages of approximately $148,000, according to BioCrossroads. The state ranked first nationally for life sciences exports in 2024.
Resmed joins a growing list of health technology and biopharmaceutical companies expanding in Indiana, including INCOG BioPharma, West Pharmaceutical Solutions and Autocam Medical, which collectively are expected to create more than 1,300 new jobs statewide.
