NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Global professional audio manufacturer Sennheiser Group has announced plans to relocate its Americas Regional Hub from Old Lyme, Connecticut, to Rock Nashville, a major music production campus in Tennessee.
The project represents a $2.5 million investment and will create at least 25 new jobs in Davidson County. Sennheiser will also become the first company to locate at the Rock Nashville campus through a partnership with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD).
State leaders say the relocation reinforces Nashville’s role as a global center for the music and entertainment industry.
“There is no city in the United States better suited for Sennheiser than Nashville,” said Tennessee Governor Bill Lee. “Music City offers the creative energy, skilled workforce and entertainment heritage that companies like Sennheiser need to thrive. This project will benefit Tennesseans and strengthen our state’s leadership in the entertainment industry.”
Expanding a Global Audio Brand in Music City
Founded in 1945 in Wennebostel, Germany, Sennheiser has grown into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of professional audio technology. The company also owns the renowned Neumann.Berlin brand and currently employs more than 2,000 people worldwide.
Company leadership said Nashville’s thriving music and entertainment ecosystem made the city a natural choice for the company’s Americas hub.
“Establishing our Americas Regional Hub in Nashville – and specifically at Rock Nashville – is an exciting next step for Sennheiser,” said Francine Seles, Director of Operations for the Americas at Sennheiser. “Nashville brings together creativity, culture and industry collaboration. By locating here, we are creating a space that fosters innovation, strengthens connections with our customers and supports our long-term growth across the region.”

Rock Nashville Anchors Entertainment Industry Growth
The new headquarters will be located at Rock Nashville, a 600,000-square-foot production campus designed specifically for music and live entertainment professionals.
The campus features 13 rehearsal studios and two arena rehearsal studios, making it the largest purpose-built music rehearsal campus in the world.
“This project marks the beginning of a new era for entertainment companies in Tennessee,” said Stuart C. McWhorter, Deputy Governor and Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. “Music and entertainment are central to Nashville’s culture and economy, and we’re thrilled Sennheiser has chosen to join this growing ecosystem.”
Leaders at Rock Nashville say the company’s presence further strengthens the campus’ mission of supporting artists, engineers and production professionals.
“Sennheiser is known worldwide for excellence in live entertainment technology,” said Andrea Shirk, CEO and President of Rock Lititz and Rock Nashville. “We are honored to welcome them to our campus as we continue building a collaborative environment for the global music and production industry.”
Regional Partnerships Support the Project
The project was supported by several regional partners, including the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Electric Service, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
“We are excited to welcome Sennheiser to Nashville,” said Heidi Smith, Vice President of Economic Development for TVA. “Investments like this strengthen our region’s economy and create new opportunities for the communities we serve.”
Local lawmakers also praised the relocation as a boost to Nashville’s reputation as Music City.
“Sennheiser’s decision to relocate to Nashville is a strategic win for our city’s live music and production industry,” said State Senator Charlane Oliver. “Their presence will bring new investment and reinforce Nashville’s global reputation as a center for sound, creativity and innovation.”
